International Application Process

Enrollment opens November 1.
To apply, follow these steps:

 

STEP 1

Begin Your Application


Apply to Shoreland on our online application portal. All application materials must be submitted via the online portal.

  • Choose the desired academic session.
    Example: Fall 2024 – Spring 2025
  • Set up a TADS account with a username and password.
  • Begin your new student application by entering your name.

  • Choose the appropriate grade level (9-12) and INTERNATIONAL STUDENT

  • Enter all of the student information, including the student supplemental questions.
  • Enter the household information, including the supplemental questions and the student’s descriptive information about interests and skills.
  • Answer the school questions, host family questions, religious information, parent and student questionnaires, and the STEM Academy and sports inquiries.

 

STEP 2​

After You Have Completed Your Online Application


Send these documents to Mrs. Uher:

  • Transcripts from 7th & 8th grade, if applying to 9th grade.
  • All high school transcripts for incoming 10th-12th grade students.
  • Send English proficiency test results to Mrs. Uher.

If the student is accepted:

  • SLHS sends an acceptance letter.
  • Applicant family wires $5,000 deposit (refundable only if visa is rejected) and proof of financial ability to pay the remaining balance.
  • SLHS creates and sends the I-20.
  • Pay your I-901 fee at https://www.fmjfee.com/i901fee/index.html
  • Apply for your visa and bring the following documents with you to your interview:
    • Your current passport
    • Your nonimmigrant visa application (Form DS-160)
    • Official acceptance letter received via post
    • Documentation showing financial means to support you while attending SLHS
    • I-901 Receipt
    • Your most recent school transcripts
    • Copies of your English language test score

If you successfully obtain your visa, continue with the enrollment process:

  • SLHS will send an enrollment email, follow the directions within.
  • Send these documents by August 1:
    • Shoreland’s immunization forms, which are in English
    • The signed medical authorization form
    • Proof of insurance coverage
