A lot of the reasons I do what I do today – and why I am who I am today – are because of Shoreland. What I learned there spiritually, mentally, physically…I learned how to be a winner, how to deal with losses, and how to work hard.
It hasn’t just been about giving money for me. It’s connecting those dollars to a student, their story and their background and the challenges they’ve had. I love how Shoreland is expanding and diversifying in so many different ways.
I want to encourage the alumni out there, it doesn’t matter how big or small it is, to give back. Shoreland meant something in the lives of every one of us, and I think it’s important to help out so that Shoreland can matter to so many beyond us.
